We are off!

We left Pillings Lock Marina about lunchtime, after Neil had been to do a few minor jobs.  We set off heading towards Leicester, passing through Barrow-upon-Soar, at Mountsorrell we met up with Doug & James from NB Chance and compared boats and shared a few glasses of wine, we have both been following each others blogs through the build process http://narrowboatchance.blogspot.com/ eventually we thought we should set off, so we shared the locks through to Watermead Country Park where we moored and Doug and James continued back to their mooring.  Not before arranging to meet later for a meal at the pub!  Ali & Mark arrived to deliver part one of the manual, a bit of light reading for us!  After following NB Chance it was lovely to see the boat and to meet Doug and James, its really nice to meet people after conversing via blogs for so long, great to meet you both, and Oscar and hopefully not too long before we meet up again.
