Return Trip

We started day with the last two locks of the Stoke Bruerne flight, followed by Blisworth tunnel, we then retraced our route along the Grand Union and have moored just below Buckby Lock flight, sandwiched between the M1 and the West Coast main line, earplugs at the ready!

11.5 miles & 2 locks

  1. You'll need them - we've moored there on more than one occasion, and it's bloody deafening. The railway isn't so bad as the trains are there and then gone, but the motorway is constant. xxx

  2. Yep, earplugs worked a treat! There was some type of alarm going, either a car or boat in the marina as well!
