Onwards to Thrupp

We have had no internet connection for the last few days, so a bit of  catch up.  We left Cropredy in much better weather, headed for Banbury, we all had various things we wanted so we hit the shops.  We moored over night on the moorings in the town centre.  We were very close to the foot bridge, it was noisy but only until the shopping centre closed then it was just the occasional person crossing.

Friday morning was again sunny but with a cool breeze, we set off heading for Aynho Wharf, we had a great cruise, through lovely countryside, with the occasional lock.  Aynho was very busy and we struggled to get in but we both did.

We had a lovely afternoon, relaxing in the sun and with Jane & Paul joining us then we all went for tea at the Great Western, we had a great evening.

Yesterday we cruised to Lower Heyford and today we have made it to Thrupp, again busy for moorings
but we are both moored.  We just managed to get the last Sunday lunches before they stopped serving  at the Jolly Boatman.

Our mooring tonight

Cropredy to Banbury 5 miles 4 locks
Banbury to Aynho Wharf 6.5 miles 5 locks
Aynho Wharf to Lower Heyford 6 miles 3 locks
Lower Heyford to Thrupp 8 miles 5 locks 1 lift bridge
